Advent in Crikvenica
During ‘Advent in Crikvenica’, the town turns into a glittering oasis from where the festive atmosphere and Christmas joy spread along the entire Crikvenica Riviera. The Advent programmes take place right by the sea:
- on Stjepan Radić Square, which is the centre of Advent events, offering a festive family atmosphere with the Ice Sea Fairytale skating rink, a variety of children’s shows and entertainment programmes, as well as Santa’s House, alongside music, fun food and drink;
- in Preradovićeva Street, where you can enjoy selected food and drinks in a laid-back atmosphere accompanied by a music and entertainment programme;
- in Santa’s Forest, located in the Advent Park, where you can step into a festive fairy tale with creative Christmas scenes;
- on the waterfront, where our youngest guests will have fun on a large ice slide;
- at other locations such as the museum, gallery, library, school and kindergarten, where ‘Advent in Crikvenica’ will show its artistic side.
All visitors, from the youngest to the oldest, can experience the true spirit of Advent through the varied music and entertainment schedule, a children’s programme, a skating school, various creative workshops, beautiful photo points, a ride on Santa’s Train, and much more!

Gastro Offer
During the Advent period, culinary delicacies are available at two locations: at Trg Stjepana Radića Square and on Preradovićeva Street. Here, visitors can enjoy the flavours and aromas of Christmas through a variety of hot drinks and other beverages, in addition to food. On workdays, don’t miss the Advent brunches at Trg Stjepana Radića Square!
Santa’s House
A must-visit attraction of ‘Advent in Crikvenica’, this is a place where children can feel the magic of the festive season, meet Santa Claus, tell him their wishes, and have a photo taken with him. The house will be open to visitors at all times. Those who want to meet and take a photo with Santa Claus can do so on Fridays and Saturdays from 17:00 to 18:00 and on Sundays from 15:00 to 16:00.
Ice Slide
Slide into the venue for good fun at ‘Advent in Crikvenica’: the ice slide is a magnet for our youngest visitors! It is open Mondays to Thursdays from 16:00 to 21:00, on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 to 22:00, and on Sundays from 10:00 to 21:00.
Exhibition of Christmas trees decorated by children from Zvonko Car and Vladimir Nazor elementary schools and Radost and Woody kindergartens
This exhibition, which stretches from Mala palada along Balustrada, presents creative works by the youngest ones, who have decorated Christmas trees with a lot of love and imagination, each tree telling its own story.
Christmas Market
The Christmas market is a place where you can feel the true festive atmosphere, at stands offering various products, from handmade Christmas decorations and souvenirs to homemade delicacies (on 29 and 30 November and 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 20 and 21 December).

The price of the basic and advanced skating school (per skating round) is 30 euros per child – the price includes skate rental.
During the winter holidays, a “Sports Good Morning” will take place in the morning after skating school* with professional entertainers and sports coaches conducting various sporting competitions and morning exercises on the ice, children’s ice races with skating assistants (teddy bears, penguins, dolphins), children’s ice dancing, ice bike races, etc.
* The dates depend on the number of registered children. Information will be published subsequently on social networks and the organiser’s website.
